Foundational Beliefs
This Statement of Faith summarizes the essential doctrines that guide Faith Vanguard—our teaching, our public witness, and our call to faithful action. We aim to be clear, charitable, and firmly grounded in the Word of God.
-
Scripture
We believe the Bible is the inspired, authoritative, and trustworthy Word of God—true in what it affirms and sufficient
for faith and life.
References: 2 Timothy 3:16–17; 2 Peter 1:20–21; Psalm 19:7–11
-
The Triune God
We believe in one God—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—eternal, uncreated, and worthy of all worship.
References: Deuteronomy 6:4; Matthew 28:19; 2 Corinthians 13:14
-
Jesus Christ
We believe Jesus Christ is fully God and fully man; He lived sinlessly, died for our sins, rose bodily, and will return
in glory to judge the living and the dead.
References: John 1:1–14; Colossians 1:15–20; 1 Corinthians 15:3–8
-
Salvation
We believe salvation is by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone—not by works—resulting in forgiveness,
new life, and a transformed walk with God.
References: Ephesians 2:8–10; Romans 5:1; Titus 3:4–7
-
The Holy Spirit
We believe the Holy Spirit convicts, regenerates, indwells, sanctifies, and empowers believers to live faithfully and
bear witness to Christ.
References: John 16:8–13; Romans 8:9–14; Galatians 5:22–25
-
The Church
We believe the Church is the body of Christ, called to worship, discipleship, unity, holiness, and mission—making
disciples of all nations.
References: Acts 2:42–47; Ephesians 4:1–16; Matthew 28:18–20
-
Humanity & Dignity
We believe every person is made in the image of God and therefore possesses inherent dignity and value. Sin has
fractured humanity, and only Christ restores us to God.
References: Genesis 1:26–27; Romans 3:23; 2 Corinthians 5:17–21
-
Last Things
We believe Christ will return, the dead will be raised, and God will bring final justice—establishing the new heavens
and new earth for all who are in Christ.
References: 1 Thessalonians 4:13–18; Revelation 21:1–5; John 5:28–29
Clarity & Tone
Why publish a Statement of Faith?
Because clarity builds trust. This page explains the theological foundation behind Faith Vanguard’s public witness,
teaching, and mission—so churches, partners, and readers know exactly what we stand on.
Is Faith Vanguard a church?
Faith Vanguard is a ministry initiative aimed at strengthening believers and encouraging faithful action. We love the
local church and seek to serve it—not replace it.
What if someone disagrees on secondary issues?
We aim to hold firmly to essential gospel doctrines while engaging with charity and conviction. On secondary matters,
we seek to be humble, biblical, and peaceable.
